The prizes to the successful industrial establishments in Marmara Region were given in the ceremony of ‘Industrial Establishments Above-the-Line Sectoral Performance Evaluation Organisation’ organised with the coordination of Kocaeli Chamber of Industry and with the cooperation of Development Agencies of Marmara Region and PwC.
Among the industrial establishments from varied sectors, the companies were awarded in the categories of SME and Large Scale Establishments. The event that has been organised by Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce and Industry with partnership with Price Waterhouse Coopers Turkey, Kocaeli University, Gebze Technical University, Turkey Economy Policies Research Foundation and East Marmara ABIGEM A.S., and also the development agencies in Marmara Region as East Marmara Development Agency, Istanbul Development Agency, Bursa Eskisehir Bilecik Development Agency, South Marmara Development Agency and Trakya Development Agency.
Regional organisation partner Bursa Eskisehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA) had an effective role in announcing the event to the establishments in Bursa, Eskisehir and Bilecik. Also, the Agency contributed to the planning, coordination and evaluation meetings of the event.
The firms that applied to the organisation were evaluated based on 7 criteria of efficiency, innovation, contribution to society and environment, employment, development and awareness-raising of employees, foreign trade and financial results.
To the ceremony of ‘2015 Above-the-Line Sectoral Performance Awards’, the President of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisarciklioglu participated. The president of Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) mentioned to the criteria considered for the evaluation and thanked to the members of the jury.
After the speeches, the prizes of 18 industrial establishments, ranked among 123 establishments evaluated, were presented. Among Bursa firms, Componenta Dökümcülük Ticaret ve Sanayi A.S. was awarded to the prize in the category of Large Scale Firms of Metal Sector. Also from Bursa, Farba Otomotiv Aydinlatma ve Plastik Fabrikalari A.S. was awarded to the prize in the category of Large Scale Firms of Motor Vehicles and Supplier Industry Sector.
