Energy consumption data that allows monitoring the activity in industrial zones were positive for Bursa manufacturers.
The increase of electricity consumption in first 8 months of the year, made the expectations for year 2016 positive.
The increase of seasonally and calendar adjusted total industrial production above expectations which is 2,9% increase compared with August and 7,2% compared with the same month last year made the industrial zones on focus. Energy consumption data that allows monitoring the activity in industrial zones were positive for Bursa manufacturers.
According to data received from Higher Organisation of Organised Industrial Zone (OSBÜK), the consumption of electricity of organised industrial zones of Bursa has increased in first 8 months of the year. There are 16 organised industrial zones with enterprises from varied sectors in Bursa. The increase in the industrial production has also been reflected to the consumption of the electricity of organised industrial zones in Bursa.
The first planned organised industrial zone of Turkey, Bursa Organised Industrial Zone (OIZ), that has 50 firms of top 250 big companies in Bursa, increased its electricity production. Bursa OIZ, that has 250 active firms and employs 46 500 employees with 5,5 billion USD annual export volume has increase its electricity consumption by 10%.
Demirtaş OIZ (DOSAB) has increased its electricity consumption by 3% and consumed 691,3 million kWh electricity in first 8 months of the year. Nilüfer OIZ (NOSAB) increased its electricity consumption by 5,5% in the same period and consumed 185,6 million kWh electricity. The highest increase in electricity consumption among OIZs in Bursa belongs to Hasanağa OIZ with 53% increase in first 8 months of the year compared with first 8 months of last year and the consumption has reached to 51,4 million Kwh electricity.
